Strange Dreams

On a cold Sunday, our friend and local hairstylist Lindsey Mollenhauer found inspiration in a rack of our 50's Far East satin vintage. Not sure where it would take her, she let go of the conscious and began to dream.

Daybreak
Beaming
Wobbly stems
Inching toward apricot
Flushed from the wind

Marionette
Muñeca
Babes eastward at dawn
To satin, to silkworms
To bolts of jacquard

Crouching
Scheming
Twirling in flight
Cosmos and cloudbursts
And white-hot daylight

Whispering
Tealeaves
Old Father Time
Runs in their stockings
Low violet sky

Tumbling
Westbound
Twinkling eyes
Dowager’s baubles
Dead of the night

Return to the dollhouse
Smoke filtered light
Hazy
Moody
Little pocket of blight
