WHAT THEY ARE ALL ABOUT

Mara Hoffman founded her label in 2000 after graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Fifteen years later, Mara Hoffman overhauled her business and started over as a sustainable, eco-conscious label amidst skeptical buyers of whom were not convinced of the price point in support of the earthy undertone in organic fabrics and low-impact production. It’s easy to say that now, sustainable practices is arguably one of the most important elements of an on-point fashion label.

In an effort to foster mindful consumption habits, the brand maintains an open conversation about its approach and encourages consumers to reevaluate the relationship society has with clothing. The company continues to focus on sustainable materials, processes, and production in order to improve and extend each garment’s life.

We love Mara Hoffman and her team for caring about garment design full circle, which of course includes strides in sustainable practices, as well as forward thinking in beauty standards, manufacturing, and environmental community commitments.

I love her classic silhouettes.  She somehow manages to make pieces that are masculine + feminine at the same time while still maintaining a classic, timeless look. I opted for her more neutral pieces, because that's what I like, but her use of color is impeccable! If you haven’t heard this podcast, I would highly recommend it. THEIR PROCESS

There are options and alternatives in this industry to manufacture responsibly. In 2015, Mara Hoffman began learning and uncovering these possibilities and chose to address, change and relay the shifts the label was making. As improvements are made so will new challenges be encountered, and though this road is unending it will forever offer room to change and grow.
