WEEK OF JUNE 10

preservation blog sounds so good our week in links
A COLLECTION OF LIFE-LATELY-FAVORITES. PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS ON OUR MINDS...AND IN OUR VIRTUAL SHOPPING CART

Changed all of my makeup for clean beauty and found dream serum foundation, Gressa. It takes a bit getting used to, but its a lifesaver for sensitive skin that wants to go “clean”.

I think this Tweet will be important continuing 2018...

Every now and then I come across a destination that seems too good to be true. Maybe I can't visit this year or next...but SOMEDAY!

Matcha. Dipped. Strawberries.

John Mulaney is my favorite comedian ever since I saw his show at Radio City. He has 3 Netflix specials that are rolling-on-the-floor funny as well as animated show, “Big Mouth”. His wife, Annamarie Tendler, is also gorgeous and refurbishes victorian lamps. They also have a super cute french bulldog named Petunia.

I finally found the one sunscreen that won't clog my pores or leave a white cast.

Toasted nori, sliced tofu, and other bits on top of this Vegan Green-Rice Porridge sounds like savory, healthy, comfort heaven.

The June Choker pairs awesomely with the earrings that I never want to leave my ears.

This new summer read has been a spiritual ride for my mind body and soul, to say the least. It mostly chronicles healing oneself with intuitive medical practice coupled with traditional health practices. This woman has worked with doctors in order to completely heal patients from AIDS, cancer, and other chronic illnesses.

I packed these wipes with me for the most convenient way to cleanse my face during these last few days of sunscreen and lake water. I was surprised they weren't as soaked like any other wipes I've used ( yet enough moisture-packed to feel on my face), so it's no mess at all! No soapy liquid running down my arm, and no thanks, communal campground sink!

Nudes, but for your fingernails. J.Hannah fingernail polish tops all; cruelty-free, made in the USA, plus this one is named after my favorite soup.

I love everything about the SS18 collection by NicoNico, so beachy and natural!

French designer Jacquemus was worn effortlessly on bride Emma Leth last week - and buzzed about all morning on Instagram. I couldn’t keep my eyes off the photos, not that I wanted to. That mile-wide straw hat seemed just as Summery as any lightweight veil - so smart! So fun!

... More favorites from babe we love, Tatiana Giacinti, #somewhereindesmoines Film Photographer:

Beauty: My hair is growing significantly, so I need to take care of it more often. I’ve been obsessed lately by CocoandEve on social media and couldn’t resist buying their “Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque". I feel awesome now! Also, I don't have any French beauty secret to share with the Des Moines babes, because I am a Glossier addict! I have pretty much all of their products and can’t leave home without the eye concealer and the mint balm dot com!

Lifestyle: Some need coffee as their first thing to drink in the morning. Me, I need my organic smoothie. Each day, I make a smoothie that has an entire banana, almond milk, some blueberries, ginger powder and this magical organic plant-based protein powder from Vega! Pick the one with vanilla flavor, the best for healthy and firm body all year long!

Culture: If I have one thing I miss the most from France is the culture. So, to catch up on the latest hot topics on fashion, luxury, art, music and cinema, I read Numero magazine. I subscribed to the newsletter, but I also get the print version shipped directly from France. The sick glossy-cover mag is full of outstanding content as well as it is a beautiful coffee table item.

Preservation: What time is it? Oh, its 10 pm on my Miansai watch!

Mindset: I’m a Capricorn obsessed with horoscopes and don’t fail to check what the planets have to tell me over the month thanks to Susan Miller.
