WHAT DO YOU DO?
I actually worked as a buyer for over 8 years. Which I totally loved and thankfully learned everything I know but, last year I needed a break and started working with my husband. I now work as the content stylist for our retail clients at Now Now, the company my husband and I run together.  We do web design and brand identity for small businesses. Thankfully, to all my design industry jobs and my experience as a buyer I learned lots about what customers wanted and needed. I always explain to people that I’m like the interpreter for the designer, which is my husband - so we have a great way of understanding each other, which helps me communicate with our clients. I help my clients decode their ideas, thoughts, and vision, help manage their project,  plan their timeline and help my clients over those “oh shit moments” by offering industry knowledge that I’ve had years to learn.

HOME
I used to have a garage of furniture just sitting around. I still have some stuff in there but, I have tried to sell it off or give it away. Furniture is just one of those things that find me. I literally walk into a thrift store or antique shop and this chair will be like, “hello - I've been waiting for you!” But, most of my furniture or art is inspired by traveling. I try to go on a trip every couple of months, It’s just how I was raised. My mom was always taking us somewhere, even if our school was in session. Now, I’m addicted to traveling and every time I go somewhere I have to find something for my house to bring back. If I'm flying it’s usually a small piece of art or local textile. If I’m driving that’s where it gets bad. I’m like leaving my luggage on the side of the road so I can stuff a coffee table in the back seat. My mom always tells the story of me when I was like 10 and walking home from the bus stop dragging a giant vintage lamp that someone had tossed out a couple of house down. I still do that.

CLOSET
My friends know my style is usually jeans, a t-shirt and a good pair of shoes. My favorite shoe brands are No. 6 or Intentionally Blank. I’m obsessed with a good quality shoe. Especially since I’m older and a bit more careful. Once you walk in a bad pair of shoes, you’re totally over it. I now stick to what I know.

Also, most of my closet is full of pieces that I bring back from my travels or that I've picked up from a vintage store. I have a huge problem with buying things and wearing it only like one time because I'm afraid that I'm going to ruin it. But, my new year’s resolution was to wear more of those pieces and stop buying new. So far that resolution hasn’t worked out as planned.

BEAUTY
I’m obsessed with skincare. I have super sensitive hormonal skin, so I'm not into trying just any product. I do like to try new things, but they usually have to be good quality ones that people rave about working really well. Currently, my obsession is Biologique Recherche. It’s a super luxury skincare line from France that I happened to run into on the web. You can buy it in spas but only like two places online. My go-to is Rescue Spa. Their cult product is Lotion P50, they call it a facial in a bottle and they are not kidding! Even if you don’t subscribe to the whole BR regimen just the p50 will work wonders. I find that it even helps your other products work better.

For make-up, I’m really into conscious, organic makeup. Currently, I’m using Ilia Vivid Foundation and concealer. It works great and doesn’t break out my skin. If I’m having a bad skin week or just need a super light coverage to even out my skin I wear Vapour Soft Focus Foundation. It’s a vegan skin care line that really doesn’t break me out. It's super lightweight and very shear. I like it because it just takes out the redness or darkness I might have but still, leaves my natural skin showing. For blush, I usually use a lipstick that looks good on my natural lip. I’ve seen Drew Barrymore do it and was like - shit that’s a great idea! It looks totally natural.

My go-to scent is Coqui Coqui Perfume in CoCo. It smells like you have sunscreen on and you’ve been at the beach all day. Kinda that tropical, sweaty, salty thing. I picked it up when I was staying at their hotel Coqui Coqui in Tulum. I can’t and won’t wear anything else! It’s super addicting and it reminds me of that trip.
