Produced in small quantities, Kopal, which means ‘newborn leaf’ in Sanskrit, embodies a new, more considerate approach to clothing that is worlds away from today’s mass market and fast-fashion. 

Made using sustainable, traditional methods, and the highest quality cotton and natural dyes, Kopal pays homage to a rich culture and heritage of craft, developed for centuries by generations of skilled artisans, passed down within their homes in the villages of India. Concerned by the increasing loss of these traditions and techniques, Kopal produces each collection with an ecosystem made up of India’s finest makers, crafters, and artisans.  Their indigenous skills, which would otherwise be lost, are preserved by adapting them to contemporary requirements, thereby integrating them into the new economy.
