WHAT DO YOU DO
I am a Food Stylist for Meredith Corporation.
BEAUTY
I’m a bit of a minimalist when it comes to beauty products. Being freckled, I’ve never used “standard” foundation (not trying to cover-up my spots) but I am a huge proponent for a tinted lotion with SPF; it adds a touch of coverage and protects my sensitive skin. I love mascara because my eyelashes are pretty dang blonde and a touch of color on my lips finishes off my daily look. I’ve been really into Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink lip stain—the price point is low which is a plus but more importantly, it works really, really well (trust me on this one!). AND last but certainly not least, I’m a sucker for good quality face washes/lotions. One word-- Eden. Just go and buy all the skin care products. I promise your skin will thank you.
HOME
My home (opposite of a minimalist in this department) is an eclectic mix of modern, retro, vintage and family heirlooms. I love compiling all sorts of styles into one space and making them look visually appealing. The heirlooms I’ve inherited mean the most to me. They add character and a sense of love to my space which is something that can not be bought. As a plant Mama, I am a huge advocate for plants in the home. Do NOT underestimate the impact a meer plant can have on a space.
CLOSET
Similar to my home, my closet is a pretty eclectic mix of styles. I do not have one store that I shop at and I do not have one style that I lean towards (except some say my style is V bohemian). I like hats a LOT because A, they’re fun and B, they tame my curls. And wide leg jeans people, wide leg jeans. All about them. Enough said.
